3B MICROanatomy™ Artery and Vein model G42 description:

This model, enlarged 14 times, presents a medium-sized muscular artery and two adjacent veins from the forearm area.
Adjoining fat tissue and muscle are also represented.

The MICROanatomy™ circulatory system model illustrates the anatomical connections between artery and vein and the basic functions of the venous valves (“valve function” and “muscle pump”).
The upper parts of the left vein and the middle artery have been cross-sectioned to offer a view of the different layers.
The right vein is entirely open, which allows you see the orifice of a feeder vein and two venous valves, i.e. “flap valves” formed by a duplication of the tunica intima.
At the back of model, the 3D representation of the veins illustrates the functional aspect of the venous valves.
