Swann-Morton Ltd is ISO 13485 accredited, and applies the CE marking on its products in accordance with European Directive 93/42/EEC on Medical Devices. The standard surgical blades and handles are manufactured to BS 2982 and ISO 7740 standards.
The sterility of the products is obtained by irradiation with cobalt 60 in the Swann-Morton unit based in Sheffield (UK) and verified by the Swann-Morton microbiology laboratory (Microbiological Laboratary Services) Ltd.
Swann-Morton ensures that all packaging materials are in compliance with European Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste.
